my first real new years resolution

2020 is over. Finally! What a year. Normally I’m not much for new years resolutions. But my friend Yuval convinced me to write down what I want to achieve in 2021 and to hold myself accountable. It’s stuff that’s important to me, things that I haven’t managend to do so far. Maybe it’s a bit silly (but I never claimed not to ever be a bit silly), but maybe this might inspire a handful of others to do the same and “get shit done” this year, and maybe we can all make 2021 a little less of a global shitshow, by starting with ourselves. I broke my resolutions down into three areas for me: Relationsships, Work and Personal stuff.

Relationships

  • Show more Patience with my Son
  • Make time to go out for date night with my wife at least every two weeks (after this lockdown is over)
  • Call my mother at least once a week

Work

  • Finalize one large scale project that will positively impact the majority of our SBB CFF FFS customers
  • Kick-off (at least) one more project that will positively impact the majority of our SBB customers 😉
  • Being an even stronger, more effective enabler raising the Understanding, that SBB must take the leap from solely being a “Railway Company” to a future oriented mobility provider and shaper.

Pesonal Stuff

  • Master the Handstand
  • Master the Muscle-up
  • Get a grip on my personal administrative work (tax returns, expenses refunds etc.)

Btw. this is the shortlist of my resolutions, I also have a longer version, with small things, that are more quickly and easily achieved. Low hanging fruits so to say; to motivate myself for the bigger goals. But I won’t bore you with that deep of an insight into my struggles (*lol*).

I’d be curious to hear which goals others have set for 2021. Anywho, I wish y’all a 2021 full of health, love, success and peace. May the force be with you.
